TEAM's mandate is to support new and innovative technologies that reduce greenhouse gases, which could include energy efficiency and energy savings devices. TEAM is an investment program that funds first-time demonstrations of GHG mitigating technologies. In helping to bring these technologies to market, TEAM is fulfilling it's mandate of GHG reductions, as well as providing technology alternatives. TEAM does not, however, support public education or outreach programs aimed at changing user behaviour. Other programs in the Federal Government have that mandate.
